Just got an update to Mac OS X today. The update comprises of two things and are both security related. The security fixes involves updating the Safari web browser and SSL certificate blacklisting. If you’re a Mac OS X user too, I suggest you get this update. Read more
Looks like HTC has made available the Android powered HTC Desire S mobile phone in the Philippines. Found it in one of the local shops and it’s priced at 22,000 pesos. The HTC Desire is an upgrade path for those who have the HTC Desire. One thing different that I’ve noticed is the presence of a second front camera — something that isn’t present in the original HTC Desire.
Just found an LG Optimus ME Android phone being sold in one of the local phone shops. The LG Optimus ME is a low end Android mobile phone. The specs include a 2.8 inch 320×240 display, Android 2.2 aka Froyo, HSDPA, Wifi, 3-megapixel auto-focuss camera, FM radio, GPS.
Inspite of the barage of Android mobile phones that I have seen locally, there are still a lot of Nokia bearing mobile phone users in the Philippines. I for one, use a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Symbian phone. The newest communicator mobile phone, the Nokia E7, has now joined the list of Symbian enabled phones in the Philippine market.
Just found out that a dual SIM Android phone is now available on the local market from Cherry Mobile. The phone is called Orbit and is one of two additional Android mobile phones that has been recently released by Cherry Mobile.
