Android Philippines now available

The number of users of Android, an open mobile operating system created by Google, has been growing steadily. In the Philippines alone, I have observed and written about the numerous mobile phones and tablets that are available from major handset manufacturers. This include HTC, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, Huawei Alcatel and LG to name a few. There are also local mobile phone companies like Cherry Mobile who has joined the market in offering cellphones running on Android.

Being an Android user myself, I realized that it would be a great idea to put up my own little section about Android in the Philippines where I can share my experiences and knowledge about Android. I hope this would help those who not only current Android mobile device users but also those who are planning to buy an Android device as their next mobile phone or tablet.

So today, I started to make available my very own Android Philippines section where you can read about the latest Android mobile phones and tablets — whether it’s a top of the line connected phone or a budget Android phone you are trying to find. I will also be writing some how-to’s and reviews of different Android apps and games available thru the Android Market.

I hope this would help in inceasing the adoption of Android phones and tablets in the Philippines and that Pinoys would enjoy using them not only as mobile phones but as multimedia devices too.
