LG Optimus Black Android phone in the Philippines

Just found the LG Optimus Black as the latest Android mobile phone that is now available in the Philippines. Compared to the recently released LG Optimus 2X, which is dual-core, the LG Optimus Black uses a single core 1GHz ARM processor. It boasts of a bright display that uses the NOVA display technology. It comes with Android OS version 2.2 (froyo) but is upgradable to version 2.3 (Gingerbread).

Specs of the LG Optimus Black is slim at 9.2m and has a 4-inch 480×800 pixel IPS LCD capacitive touch screen capable of displaying 16M colors. It has 2GB of internal storage plus 512MB of RAM for running your mobile apps. The card slot supports up to 32GB of microSD storage.

It has quadband GSM and a 3-band 3G mobile radio and data connections can be via GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSPA or Wifi. Bluetooth w/ A2DP/EDR is available.

The primary camera is 5-megapixel autofocus with LED flash while the secondary front-facing camera is 2-megapixel. Camera features include geo-tagging, face and smile detection, and 720p@30fps video.

Other features included are an accelerometer, proximity sensor, stereo FM radio and GPS w/ A-GPS support.

Price is about 18,000+ pesos.
