Xperia Z 10.4.1.B.0.101 update gives great battery performance
While everyone (including me) who’s using a recent Android based Xperia phone from Sony Mobile waits patiently for last year’s Android 4.4 update announcement to happen, I just got an incremental update to the current Android 4.3 firmware.
Still based on Android 4.3, the 10.4.1.B.0.101 firmware update according to Sony has the following improvements:
Bluetooth connectivity, battery, YouTube app improvements…
After a couple days of usage, I am actually impressed with the new battery performance. The update from Android 4.2 to Android 4.3 didn’t gave me much improvement battery-wise. I was still getting at most 8-9 hours on my Xperia Z and about 5 hours on heavy use.
But now, after looking at the power management screen in the settings app, I’m getting 10 hours with still 82% of battery juice left.
I’ll follow up later on how it performs when I’m out and have to rely heavily on my LTE connection.
