Is there a GPS service in the Philippines?
I’m not aware of a GPS service in the Philippines but a friend has been asking how he could use his Mio GPS device here in the Philippines so I thought I’d post it here and see if anyone reading this might know if a GPS service exists in the Philippines.
I know there are some form of location-based services from the Telcos like Smart and Globe Telecom but these are cell site based services and don’t use GPS.

GPS Service is in the Philippines. GPS signals are all over the world (with less at the poles). Perhaps the right question would be: How extensive are electronic maps (used by GPS) in the Philippines. The answer: very detailed in population centers, you’d be surprised. Visit waypoints.ph to see samples of Philippine GPS Maps.
Hi there,
of course GPS is available in the Philippines, I just found a gadget from car-navi.ph, they are selling GPS PNA Devices starting at 8000P. Just visit their website, they have a lot of stuff and information.
